  • Costa Del Mar

  • This body of water between New Zealand and Australia has been called one of the roughest stretches of sea in the world. The gripper temple holes of these large frames will keep them in place on any journey, and when you finally make it to land they’re just as useful while you kick back and relax behind their beach styling. Bio-based resin is used to stay mindful of both the sea and the shore.

  • 580® LENS

Most polarized lenses eliminate glare by blocking reflective light. But Costa's patented 580 lenses go further, blocking the perfect amount of harsh yellow light and harmful blue light while enhancing reds, blues and greens. The result: less haze, less blur, greater contrast and greater clarity.

    MIRRORED LENS

The mirrors are more than aesthetic; they’re a necessity in harsh sunlight. Made through a high-tech ion beam deposition process, these multilayered thin fi lm coatings make for the most scratch-resistant mirrors out there.

    C-WALL® — SCRATCH RESISTANCE LENS

A molecular bond on our plastic lenses provides the most scratch-resistant and smudge-free barrier, repelling water, oil and sweat for easier cleaning.

    CO-INJECTED BIO-BASED NYLON FRAMES

Nylon frames are tough and durable, with more color options manufactured using the environmentally friendly bio-resin process. TR-90 nylon is a premier material for sports and performance frames as it is resistant to heat and cold. Though it is flexible, it is still durable. Nylon is easily molded into wraparounds and other shapes.

    SWEAT MANAGEMENT

Channels run the length of the temple that enable airflow from the vents to cool, wick away sweat and moisture, and drain through the openings on the temple tips, and thinned-out inner bottom eyewire tucks closely into the back surface of the lens, which allows sweat and moisture to drain down the back surface of the lens and off the bottom of the frame.
